How long since you have breathed, dear one?
Amidst the hustle and bustle, we become frazzled and tightly wound. In the middle of the chaos, Jesus takes our face in his soft hands, gets down on our level, looks us deep in the eyes and says “peace”.
It is okay. Breathe now, child of mine.
“Little girl, I say to you arise”
These words are found in Mark 5:41.
Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”
I forget so easily.
Doubt kicks in, worry creeps up, obstacles arise, and I forget.
I used to read the Bible with a pair of scissors in one hand and a highlighter in the other.
Ready to highlight my favourite verses about love and blessings, ready to cut out the parts that made me uncomfortable.
I love me a good resolution.
I can also count on one hand the number of resolutions that I’ve actually seen through to completion.
